About
I grew up the daughter of Polish political refugees. At eight years old, I watched our family physician treat my grandmother with a kind of care I had never seen before. That was the moment. I knew I wanted to be a doctor.
I went to medical school at Creighton University, and honestly, I had no interest in OBGYN at first. Then I saw what was actually happening to women. Real, diagnosable, treatable conditions. Dismissed. Told to "just relax." Put on birth control to mask symptoms while the disease quietly got worse. That was not acceptable to me.
At Creighton I was introduced to NaProTechnology. I watched physicians find root causes and treat them. Not suppress. Not bypass. Treat. I realized I could not just turn away. I felt an obligation to these women and unborn children to provide the care they deserved.
After residency at the University of Illinois, I completed my NaProTechnology fellowship at the Pope Paul VI Institute under Dr. Thomas Hilgers. I operated on endometriosis nearly every day. I learned to excise disease the way it should be excised. Half of it is the excision and half of it is reconstructing everything and doing adhesion prevention. Average for me, three and a half hours. Do you want me to get it all? Do you want me to do it well, or do you want me to do it quick?
I also had endometriosis myself. Seventeen lesions. Five and a half hours of surgery. It took me four and a half years of OBGYN training to finally diagnose myself. That changed everything for me. I became a believer on a completely different level.
Today I lead RRM Academy, where we teach patients and professionals what restorative reproductive medicine actually looks like, and serve as Board Chair and Chief Medical Director of the RRM Foundation. "Unexplained infertility" is the diagnosis women carry in when they walk through my door. I have yet to have an unexplained infertility patient. So far, every one has had a real, findable cause. Infertility is not unexplained. It is undiagnosed. Suppressive medications masked their symptoms. Bypass procedures routed around their bodies. Nobody stopped to find the cause, treat the disease, and restore normal function.
